Our Professional, Ecological and Social Values

- Flower Essence Services (FES) offers pristine quality products, tested and praised by a world-wide community of practitioners since 1979. We have developed a professional foundation for flower essence therapy through clinical reports from our international network of practitioners, field study of the flower essence plants, and in-depth practitioner training programs by FES and FES-inspired teachers, through our educational and research organization, the Flower Essence Society.
* We invest time and financial resources into active research and outreach with our world-wide practitioner network.
* Our home base, Terra Flora is a Nature Sanctuary for the restoration of land and wildlife, with a special emphasis on Biodynamic® regenerative agriculture. Our gardens are officially certified Demeter Biodynamic®.
- * Our goal is to cultivate an environment that is elementally dynamic and
health-giving for the production of our plant substances and for all who
live and work in our Nature Matrix. We aim to nurture qualities of
harmony, beauty, and order beyond the merely utilitarian or monetary in
all that permeates our work and living environment.
* Our products are made only with organic and wild-harvested ingredients, certified organic by Oregon Tilth. We rigorously adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP Standards) and testing procedures to ensure the highest quality and accuracy of every product.
* Our products are hand-prepared in small batches, with conscious attention for life forces and rhythms within Nature. When working with our plant substances we also include soul forces of prayer, affirmation, reverence, and mindful intention. Production is assisted by helpful technology as needed, managed on a human, hands-on scale.
* We use limited packaging, utilizing natural, recycled, and/or reused materials in every way currently possible. We always print on recycled paper.
* Our bottles are always glass and our displays are made from recyclable cardboard, or handmade from ecologically harvested wood with natural finishes. We use plastic or synthetic materials only when there is no other reasonable alternative. -

* We conduct a large composting program to regenerate and replenish the life of the soil, water, and plants.

* We are committed to ecological transportation strategies such as employee carpooling, a 4-day work week, and consolidation of trips.

- * We strive to conserve electricity, water, and paper wherever possible. We actively recycle glass, paper, tin, cardboard, and plastic. We re-use shipping materials sent to us wherever possible. We generate clean electrical energy from an extensive system of solar panels.
* We use only earth-friendly, non-chemical cleaners in our office and production spaces, eco-friendly lighting, and other related sustainable measures.
* We support right-livelihood with living wages for our FES staff. We offer health benefits that allow flexibility for holistic health care and provide retirement savings benefits by investing in socially conscious funds.
* We are a small, locally owned company that supports our regional community with donations and volunteer services. We provide opportunities to experience our Nature Sanctuary and our retreat center for organizations working to serve our larger community.
* We tithe financial support to local, national, and international environmental and social organizations that contribute to the welfare of humanity and the earth.
* We administrate an active humanitarian outreach program with product donations and consulting services for social programs and natural disaster relief aid throughout the world.
* We respect customer privacy by never selling or trading any personal information with any other organization or company. Mailings are limited to sales and announcements related to our work.
